Add photos and a song
Up to 10 photos and a song link — the soundtrack for unwrapping.
- 3
Print the QR or send the link
Save to get a QR code to tuck in the box, or a link to text. Unlock once to share.
Why a birthday gift website makes a good present
A birthday gift website is a private page you give as a present: a letter, photos and a song, opened from a link or a QR code. On its own it is a personal digital gift; next to a physical present, it is the card that explains why you chose it.
It is especially useful at the last minute. There is nothing to ship and nothing to wrap, and an evening is enough to write something real. It also scales down nicely: three photos and a short letter still feel more considered than a generic gift card. When a physical present is the right call — and sometimes it is — print the QR code and tape it to the box.

Birthday gift ideas that pair well with a page
The page explains the gift. The gift gives the page something to open into.
- 01
An experience voucher
Concert tickets, a cooking class, a weekend away. The page tells the story of why.
- 02
Flowers with a QR card
Ask the florist to include a printed QR code with the bouquet.
- 03
A framed photo
Frame one photo and put the other five on the page, with the QR code on the back.
- 04
A gift card, made personal
Gift cards feel generic. A page with three photos and a letter fixes that.
- 05
Something handmade
Explain the hours behind it in the letter — and add a photo of it half-finished.
- 06
A page on its own
Sometimes the words are the gift. Write the long version and let it stand alone.
Example: a gift page tucked in a box
A fictional example that pairs the page with a physical present — about 110 words.
Happy birthday, Sam.
The real present is in the box (careful, it’s heavier than it looks). This page is the part I couldn’t wrap.
I chose the pottery wheel because every time we walk past that studio you slow down and say “one day.” Today is one day.
While I have your attention: you had a hard spring, and you were kind the whole way through it. I noticed.
Photos below, song on — play it while you unwrap.
Love, Alex
Why this works
- Explains why the gift fits — the part a gift receipt cannot.
- Adds one sincere line about their year.
- Gives an instruction (play while you unwrap) that ties page and present together.

Printing the QR code and timing the gift
QR code and printing
- After saving, open the QR code, screenshot it or print it at least 3 cm (about 1.2 in) wide.
- Test the printed code with your own phone camera before you wrap it.
- Unlock the page before you hand it over, so the QR opens the full version.
Music and timing
- Pick a song to play while they unwrap — upbeat for friends, quiet for a partner.
- If the gift arrives by post, send the link the same day as a backup.
- For experiences, put the date of the experience in the letter.
Gift page vs gift card vs physical gift
They are not rivals. A page adds the personal part to whatever else you give — or stands in when there is no time.
